Same run, same days. Booked once.
Some freight moves on a calendar: the Tuesday branch transfer, the daily vendor pickup, the weekly stocking run. Superior books it once and runs it on your schedule, tracked and photographed every time, from local dispatch in five markets.
The run you call every week.
If you book the same pickup and the same drop over and over, it can be a scheduled route. You stop calling it in, and it still runs.
Branch transfers
Stock moved between your branches, or from your distribution center to a branch, on the days you set.
Standing pickups
A pickup at the same place on the same days, brought back to your dock or sent on to the next stop.
Stocking runs
Counters, parts rooms and job trailers restocked on a set schedule. For nightly runs, see overnight replenishment.

Tell us once. Then it runs.
The same four steps for every scheduled route, in every market.
- Describe the runThe pickup, the drops, what moves and which days and times. A dispatcher in your market answers live, any hour.
- We build the routeDispatch sets the stops, the times and the truck that fits the load.
- It runs on the calendarThe route goes out on your schedule without a new call each time.
- Proof every runA text at every milestone and a signed, photographed proof of delivery, every time it runs.
Book the run, or hand over the fleet.
Both keep your schedule. The difference, in general terms, is whether you are booking runs or handing Superior the trucks you run today. Dispatch can talk through which fits your freight.
Scheduled route
- You book the run: the stops, the days and the times
- The truck runs your route on your schedule
- Between your runs, the truck and driver can work other loads
- Fits a few recurring runs a week, or a daily transfer
- Your own trucks, if you have them, stay yours
Dedicated program
- The trucks are dedicated to your routes
- Superior supplies, drives, insures and maintains them
- They replace your own box trucks, stakebeds or tractors
- In-house fleet software right-sizes the truck count
- Fits a fleet you would rather not own. See dedicated trucks
Sized to the load, not the biggest.
Scheduled routes run on the same trucks as the rest of Superior’s fleet. Dispatch confirms size and weight on the call. See the fleet.
Cargo van
Parts and cartons that have to stay dry, between branches.
Box truck
Pallets on a lift gate, for docks and curbs.
Stakebed
Reels, pipe, conduit and fixtures, the workhorse of supply-house delivery.
Large stakebed
For the recurring loads that outgrow a standard stakebed.
One-ton & mini float
Pipe, steel and equipment on a one-ton flatbed or a gooseneck mini float.
18-wheeler
Full-trailer runs through sister company J.H. Walker Trucking, same dispatcher.
Every run, on the record.
A route that runs without a phone call still reports in. Every run gets the same tracking as a hot shot, so you know the transfer landed without checking.
- A live GPS link you can share
- A text at booked, dispatched, picked up and delivered
- Signed, photographed proof of delivery by email
- Every run in the customer portal, or into your ERP by API
More on how tracking works.

What is a scheduled route?
A recurring run on a set schedule: a daily or weekly branch transfer, a standing pickup or a stocking run, booked once and run on the calendar.
How is a scheduled route different from a dedicated truck?
On a scheduled route you book the run, and it goes out on your schedule. In a dedicated program the trucks are dedicated to you: Superior supplies, drives, insures and maintains them in place of your own fleet.
Is a scheduled route the same as an overnight route?
Overnight replenishment is one kind of recurring run: loaded at your DC in the evening, every branch run overnight, a photo at each stop. A scheduled route runs on the days and times you set.
What if I need an extra run?
Call dispatch, live 24 hours a day. An extra load can go the same day or as a hot shot.
What trucks run scheduled routes?
Cargo vans, box trucks with lift gates, stakebeds and large stakebeds, one-ton flatbeds and gooseneck mini floats. Dispatch confirms size and weight on the call.
How do I know each run was delivered?
Every run comes with a live GPS link, a text at every milestone and a signed, photographed proof of delivery by email, in the customer portal or into your ERP.
Where does Superior run scheduled routes?
In all five of its markets: Houston, Dallas–Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio and Lafayette.
