Privacy policy
What Superior Delivery Service collects on this site and its careers page, why, who it goes to, and how to make your choices or a request.
Who we are
Superior Delivery Service is a hotshot, dedicated-truck and route delivery company, part of the J.H. Walker family of companies (with J.H. Walker Trucking and Atlas Delivery Service). Our corporate office is 11404 Hempstead Rd, Houston, TX 77092. It runs superiordeliveryservice.com. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Superior Delivery Service. This policy covers superiordeliveryservice.com and the forms on it. It does not cover other websites we link to.

What we collect and where it comes from
In the last 12 months we have collected the categories in the table above. They come from:
- You, when you fill in the quote form on the home page. We collect your name, company, phone, email, the service and truck you are asking about, the pickup city and anything you type about the shipment. The form sends what you type to the J.H. Walker web portal, which creates a lead in our customer database (Zoho CRM) and emails it to our sales team at [email protected].
- Your browser and device, automatically, through the tools listed under Analytics & tools once they are allowed to load.
- You and your former employers, licensing agencies and screening providers, if you apply for a job (see Job applicants).
Our sites are hosted by Cloudflare. To decide whether to ask for consent first, the site asks Cloudflare for the country and state of your IP address. We do not store that answer; it is kept only in your browser for the length of your visit.
How we use it
- To answer your request, give you a quote, and do the work you ask for.
- To follow up with businesses that ask about our services.
- To understand how the site is used and make it better.
- To keep the site and our forms secure, for example by stopping spam and abuse.
- To consider you for a job and, for drivers, to meet the U.S. Department of Transportation’s driver qualification rules.
- To meet our legal obligations and to protect our rights.
Analytics & tools on this site
Visitors from California and other states that require consent, and visitors outside the United States, see a banner first, and none of these tools load until they click Accept. Elsewhere they load when the page opens, and you can turn them off at any time with Your Privacy Choices. None of them load if your browser sends Global Privacy Control.
- Google Analytics (Google LLC)
- Counts visits and shows which pages are read, how visitors arrived (a search, a link, an ad), the type of device and browser, and an approximate location worked out from the IP address. It sets cookies (
_ga,_ga_*) that recognise a returning browser. We also record when a form is sent, without what you typed in it.
The contact form is not a tracker: it sends only what you type, to us, when you press the button.
Who we disclose it to, and sale & sharing
We disclose personal information to these categories of third parties:
- Service providers that work for us: website hosting (Cloudflare), our web portal and email (Microsoft 365), our customer database (Zoho CRM), and our applicant tracking and driver application service (Tenstreet). They may use it only to provide their service to us.
- Analytics providers: Google Analytics.
- Our affiliated J.H. Walker companies, when your request is better served by one of them.
- Government agencies, courts and advisers, when the law requires it or to protect our rights.
Sale and sharing. We do not sell personal information for money. But the analytics tools above receive cookie IDs, IP addresses and browsing activity from this site, and those providers may use it for their own purposes. California law may treat that as a “sale” or as “sharing” personal information. In the last 12 months we may have shared the identifiers, internet activity, approximate geolocation categories this way with Google Analytics. You can opt out at any time (next section). We do not sell or share what you type into our forms, and we do not sell or share applicant information.
Your Privacy Choices
- The banner and the “Your Privacy Choices” link in the footer of every page. Decline turns off Google Analytics on this site and opts you out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. Accept allows them. We remember your choice in your browser for 12 months; clearing your browser data clears it.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC). If your browser or an extension sends the GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sale and sharing, and none of these tools load. The panel then shows “Opt-out preference signal honored”.
- Do Not Track. Browsers’ older “Do Not Track” setting has no agreed meaning, so the site does not change for it alone. GPC, which does, is honored as above.
- Other options. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, and Google offers an opt-out add-on for Google Analytics.
Opting out on this site covers this browser. To opt out of sale and sharing for records tied to your name or email, make a request.
Your California privacy rights
If you live in California you have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA. We extend the same rights to visitors from other states.
- Know: ask what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we collected it, who we disclosed it to, and get a copy.
- Delete: ask us to delete personal information we collected from you, subject to exceptions the law allows (for example, records we must keep).
- Correct: ask us to fix personal information that is wrong.
- Opt out of sale or sharing: see Your Privacy Choices, or make a request.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information: we collect sensitive personal information, such as a driver’s license or Social Security number, only from job applicants and only for hiring and the legal checks drivers must pass. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you, or for any purpose beyond those the law permits, so there is nothing further to limit.
No discrimination. We will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or give you a lower level of service because you used any of these rights.
Shine the Light. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing.
How to make a privacy request
Use either method. Both reach the same J.H. Walker privacy team, which handles requests for all our companies.
- Email [email protected]
- Call toll-free 1-800-581-2600
Tell us which right you want to use, that it concerns superiordeliveryservice.com, and the name, email and phone number we would know you by.
Verification. Before we act on a request to know, delete or correct, we confirm that you are the person the information is about, usually by contacting you at an email address or phone number we already have and asking you to confirm details only that person would know. For a request for specific pieces of information we ask for more. We use what you give us for verification only to verify you. An opt-out of sale or sharing needs no verification.
Authorized agents. Someone you authorize can make a request for you. We will ask for your signed permission (or a power of attorney) and may ask you to verify your identity with us directly.
Timing. We confirm we received a request within 10 business days and answer within 45 calendar days. If we need longer, up to 45 more days, we will tell you why. We act on an opt-out of sale or sharing within 15 business days.
Job applicants
Our careers page (/careers) lists jobs at Superior Delivery Service, Atlas Delivery Service and J.H. Walker Trucking. Its quick-apply form collects your name, phone, the job, your license class, and whether we may text you. It sends them to the J.H. Walker web portal for our recruiting team. The full driver application is hosted for us by Tenstreet, a driver recruiting service, and collects identifiers (including your date of birth, driver’s license number and Social Security number), your employment history, licenses and endorsements, and your driving and safety record.
We use applicant information to consider you for jobs, to contact you, and, for drivers, to meet the U.S. Department of Transportation’s driver qualification rules: checking your license, your motor vehicle record, past employers’ safety records, drug and alcohol testing history, and the FMCSA Clearinghouse. Some of these checks use outside screening providers and need your separate written authorization. We do not sell or share applicant information, and we use sensitive information only for these purposes. You have the same rights to know, delete and correct, and the same ways to make a request, as above; some records must be kept by law, which limits deletion.
How long we keep it
- Contact-form and quote requests: as long as we need them for the business relationship, and up to 3 years after our last contact with you.
- Google Analytics data: the retention period set in our Google Analytics account [retention: confirm the GA4 data-retention setting, 2 or 14 months].
- Your privacy choice: kept in your browser for 12 months. The location lookup is kept only for your visit and never on our servers.
- Records of privacy requests: 24 months, as California regulations require.
- Applicant records: for drivers we hire, the driver qualification file for the length of employment plus 3 years, as DOT rules require; for applicants we do not hire, at least 1 year after the decision, as federal employment law requires, and up to 3 years [retention: confirm with counsel].
Security
Our forms and site use encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access to the information you send is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive personal information through a contact form.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we update the date at the top. We review it at least once a year.
